Annie Mist Thorisdottir, an experienced professional CrossFit athlete hailing from Reykjavik Iceland. She is also the owner of Crossfit Reykjavik and runs it in addition. Annie is first woman who is a winner at CrossFit Games in two consecutive seasons. In 2010, she finished second. Annie Thorisdottir was an Icelanders weightlifter CrossFit champion and media celebrity. The popular athlete is the first woman to win in the CrossFit Games twice in 2011 as well as 2012. The other accomplishments she has achieved include securing Dubai Fitness Championships in 2017 and 2013. Annie together with her the rest of her family, was born at Reykjavik Iceland. Annie was an avid sportsperson and began working out at the age of five. In 2009, she competed in CrossFit competitions held in California. The first performances were quite impressive. In 2010 Annie finished 1st in European Regionals Qualifier. under the direction of Jami Tikkanen, Annie finished second in CrossFit Games and was awarded the Silver Medal that year. Following that she took part in CrossFit Games and won them due to her impressive performances. It was her first time as a woman to win CrossFit Games. Annie also won in the CrossFit Games in 2012 due to her impressive performance. She became the first female athlete to be crowned the winner of two CrossFit Games at once. The silver medal was awarded in 2014; and in the year 2021 she received a Bronze medal in the CrossFit Games. Presently Annie is a coach and trainer at Crossfit Reykjavik which was started by her. As she has gained more recognition as an athlete, Annie is a model of various sports brands including Reebok Rogue Fitness Transparent Labs Renaissance Nuun Hydration-Periodization Sidekick, Yerbae, among other brands. In addition, she has her own Youtube channel named "Annie" which has over a thousand viewers. This is the channel where she posts videos on eating habits, parenting as well as travel.
